Don’t Believe the Hype: Celebrity Workouts

I’m assuming that the majority of you all are well educated and have a good sense of what’s right and what’s wrong. When it comes to staying fit and healthy, the fact that you all are reading this website means you’re probably taking fairly good care of yourself.

We’ve all seen the celebrity diets, fad diets, cleanse diets, etc. A wise expert once said, if people would realise they have to burn off more than they consume, then there would be no need for diets. There is no secret!

I was watching E News! (yes, an awful guilty pleasure) when a segment talking about celebrity workouts came on. I bout fell on the floor. The “new” exercise craze for celebrities – drum roll – “The Bed Workout.” A workout you can do in your bed! Sweet mother of pearl.

Finding time to workout is a challenge for everyone, especially busy Hollywood celebs who are desperately juggling work, family and fame, but a new book offers a fun and fabulous way to burn calories – in bed! “These moves are great for celebs on-the-go who travel a lot and need a hotel room workout, but don’t want to touch the dirty floor,” revealed author Laurel House…

I think my fave quote from the E! News segment, “Cardio isn’t about running, cardio is about moving your heart.” Umm, yea.

This is a plea to anyone who is reading – PLEASE do not buy into this garbage. Get your feet on the floor and do a jumping jack, a push-up, anything!

I can’t believe I’m going to have to link to this article, but if you want to check it out, have at it.

Chime in! What is your honest opinion on these crazy celebrity fad diets and workouts?
